Tottenham vs Middlesborough will be shown on Setanta with coverage starting at 9:45 am.

Penny Lane, Mulligan's, and Bailey's have Setanta Sports. The question is who is open at 10 am on Saturday morning. I will update this when I find out.

Kaboul to Pompey

The Club can announce that we have reached agreement for the permanent transfer of Younes Kaboul to Portsmouth.

The French centre-back played 29 games for us last season following his move from Auxerre and scored four goals.

We wish Younes well for the future.

Pre-Season: Spurs 5 - Roma 0

David Bentley marked his home debut for Tottenham Hotspur with a brace in a 5-0 thrashing of Roma.

Striker Darren Bent continued his impressive pre-season form with another double and Aaron Lennon chipped in with a goal as Roma finished the game with 10 men.

Spurs enjoyed the perfect start to the contest when Bentley whipped in a free-kick which eluded everyone and crept in at the far post after just three minutes.

The lead was doubled two minutes later when Bent latched on to a poor pass from Philippe Mexes to finish clinically.

Roma striker Mirko Vucinic headed tamely at Spurs keeper Heurelho Gomes before Juande Ramos' side added a third goal in first-half injury-time.

Marco Cassetti was sloppy in possession, allowing Bentley to smash home a low drive from 25 yards.

Lennon was a half-time substitute and made an immediate impact by scoring the fourth following excellent work from Giovani Dos Santos.

Tottenham completed the scoring on 54 minutes when Bent finished from close range at the far post after Jonathan Woodgate had glanced on Bentley's corner.

The Serie A side saw midfielder Alberto Aquilani sent off late on after picking up two yellow cards in quick succession.

Youth: Mason signs 1st contract

Second year Academy trainee Ryan Mason has signed his first professional contract at the Club.

The England youth international, who can play up front or just behind the striker, struck 11 goals in 18 matches for our Academy side last season.

The 17-year-old also featured on three occasions for our reserves, including making his first start against Reading in April.

Troy Archibald-Henville

The Club can announce that we have reached agreement with Norwich City for the season-long loan of young defender Troy Archibald-Henville.

Troy, 19, captained our reserve team last season and was on the first team bench last season for our Premier League games at home against Wigan Athletic and away at Arsenal.

He was also part of the first team group that travelled to our pre-season training camp in Spain last month featuring in the friendly matches against Tavernes and Denia.

Leigh Mills Loan to Gillingham

Leigh Mills has joined League Two side Gillingham on a one-month loan deal.

The 20-year-old centre-back, who was recently recalled from a loan spell at Brentford, joined the Club as an Academy 1st Year scholar from Swindon Town in 2004 and has gone on to become a regular fixture in our Reserve Team.

THFC join Superleague Formula

The Club is pleased to announce that we will become the first Barclays Premier League team to join the football-themed motor racing championship, Superleague Formula.

Spurs becomes the 15th Superleague Formula outfit and the second UK football club alongside Glasgow Rangers.

Our blue and white livery will be carried by one of the 750 horsepower, V12 powered Superleague Formula Panoz chassis at the championship's debut round at Britain's Donington Park circuit on August 30/31.

The Tottenham Hotspur Superleague Formula team will battle on the track against football clubs from around the world including AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven, FC Porto, Olympiakos, Borussia Dortmund, RSC Anderlecht, Flamengo, FC Basel, Galatasaray, Corinthians, Sevilla FC, Glasgow Rangers, Al Ain, Beijing Guoan and AS Roma.

"Superleague Formula is an exciting new concept and looks to bring together two of the most popular sports in the world," said Paul Barber, Executive Director, Tottenham Hotspur.

"As a Club we are always looking for ways to appeal to our global fan base and Superleague Formula gives us the opportunity to do that. Some of the biggest football clubs in the world are already involved and we are pleased to be joining them.

"We intend to be as competitive on the track as we are on the pitch, and we hope our fans will join us in supporting the team at Donington Park on the 30-31 August for the opening race of the season."

Our car will be officially unveiled to fans at our pre-season friendly against AS Roma at The Lane this Sunday.

"We are thrilled to have a top-line club like Spurs join our championship," Superleague Formula President and CEO, Alex Andreu said.

"England was one of the final pieces of the Superleague Formula puzzle we had to complete.

"Tottenham Hotspur is one of the most talented and entertaining football teams in the Premier League and I hope their racing team will show similar qualities on the track.

"Although the team driver does not have to be the same nationality as the club, we certainly have no shortage of British drivers who are very keen to drive for Tottenham Hotspur."
