"Bitter Sweet for Bale"

Courtesy of the Official Site-

Gareth Bale admitted having mixed feelings after his first goal for us in the
3-3 draw at Fulham.
The Welsh youngster was naturally delighted to open his
account in Spurs colours in only his second start for us following injury
problems in pre-season. That goal – a cool finish after running onto Robbie
Keane’s pass – put us in command again at Craven Cottage having earlier led
2-0 but the home side hit back from 3-1 via a deflected goal and Diomansi
Kamara’s spectacular overhead kick in injury time to leave us with a share of
the spoils in a game we had dominated. "It was disappointing,” reflected Gareth
before joining the Welsh squad for European Championship qualifiers against
Germany and Slovakia. “We had a lot of chances to win the game but didn't take
them so we paid the price. Hopefully we can work on that in training and get it
right for the next game. "For me there were mixed feelings but the main thing is
the team and not individuals. We've got to learn from our mistakes and kick on
from here again. "They got a lucky goal which put us on the back foot but we've
got to be stronger, more resilient and hopefully we can learn from it and kick
on. "Everyone was gutted and considering we were two goals up felt like a loss.
We've just got to show our character, push ourselves forward and hopefully kick
on from here."
